Shalane Moore
Shalane, owner and creative director of From the Heart Music and Dance, is a dynamic force behind the dance movement in the Verde Valley. She has been dancing and designing choreography for over 22 years. At the early age of 12, she helped dancers with their routines in school talent shows and assisted with the choreography used in school musical productions.
Shalane's favorite dance style is Hip-Hop. She has also studied ballet, jazz and modern while attending Southern Utah University. Her dance training continued through her early adult years with many different choreographers, where she continued to learn and develop in a variety of dance styles.
Shalane expects a lot from her dancers including hard work, dedication, respect for self and others. She encourages a love of dance through her teaching techniques and enthusiasm. Believing that hard work and dedication are a vital part of a dancers life, she helps her dancers increase in their skill level while also helping them know that it is still okay to not be perfect.
